EDISON, NJ —
Vinyl products manufacturer Vipac has been awarded the Cal Safety Compliance Corporation (CSCC) certification after passing an unannounced detailed and comprehensive inspection of its 1,100-employee manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China. The certification is awarded to manufacturers worldwide in recognition of meeting basic international labor practices and standards.
After a three-day inspection and compliance evaluation, Vipac's facility met CSCC criteria regarding child labor standards, wage and hour minimums, working conditions, gender bias and disciplinary practices, as well as recommended health and safety requirements.
The review was made at the request of Kmart for its Martha Stewart Everyday program. The facility has also met the manufacturing compliance standards of other major U.S. retailers such as Federated Stores and Wal-Mart.
We would love your feedback!
